Hello, I’m Martie.
I’m a surface pattern designer based in South Africa, creating fabric collections inspired by nature, heritage living, and the quiet rhythms of farm life.
My work begins with small observations — winter branches, garden textures, wild grasses — which slowly unfold into repeating patterns designed for quilting and home textiles.
When I design a collection, I imagine the quilts that will be stitched from these fabrics — pieces that will be used, loved, and passed down for generations.
